Welcome to CulturalHealing.com.au, which offers online training in Cultural Responsiveness

We acknowledge and pay respect to the past, present and future Traditional Custodians and Elders of this nation and the continuation of cultural, spiritual and educational practices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples should be aware that this website contains images or names of people who have passed away.

Cultural Responsiveness Training (CRT) is not cultural awareness. safety or competence, but is a 21st-century training package developed by the voices of Australia's First Nations peoples. This wisdom around workplace dynamics is shared with non-Indigenous people to build understanding and bridges of communication between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.

CRT is a comprehensive course. Campfires 1 (all participants in CRT must undertake this level) is based on real-life vignettes and addresses key areas that relate to everyday life and prevent effective communication and access to Indigenous peoples. It shows why Aboriginal people and non-Indigenous people have different expectations and beliefs / values. It redresses what has generally been accepted as “a failure of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people” to reciprocate Western behaviours. CRT helps participants to re-evaluate their own World View and that of First Nations peoples.
